* To familiarize you and your child with the Student Study Team, 504, Assessment and IEP process.
* To understand your options as to assessment .
* To fully know the spectrum of services available to best serve your child, including Student Study Team Accommodations, 504 designation, Monitoring, Inclusion, and Special Education Class Placement, as well as low-incidence placements such as Lifeskills Classes and Hard of Hearing and Blind Student Assistance.
* To be an active and contributing member in the placement decision-making process at all meetings.
* To allow your son or daughter to receive the program needed, whatever that may be, and to allow progress toward the goal of academic and social success.
